About Us
Many stories are "chomping at the bit" to be heard.
We cannot write all of the stories.
However, we can provide a "watering hole."
Everyone has a story and a scrapbook of photos. What started out as personal genealogical interest has developed into a desire to gather people who have a connection to the Oder/Odra River and the areas to the east and west. We hope it will be a magazine where people can share links to other websites, experiences, historical information, stories, photos, videos, literature, recipes, etc. with other visitors to this blog.
It will hopefully, be open to people writing in German, Polish, and English. We cannot, however, promise that all submissions will be posted nor that all languages will be translated.
It is a work in progress and we hope to hear from people with suggestions and ideas!
Please visit us often at the Wandering Oderites!
Amy (geb.KLEMKE) UEHARA and her daughter, Mina UEHARA, live in rural Kanagawa, Japan.
She loves the written word and hopes that long, run on sentences
that flow for days on end will never cease to exist.
It is in long dark, moments that the words and ideas flow with bouquets of wandering adjectives.
“Without adjectives, one merely has flowers in a vase!”-aeku
